What to Expect
The Dementia Care Social Club is back!
We are incredibly excited to be joined by Dr Coralie Wales, an Adjunct Fellow at Western Sydney University School of Medicine, Fellow in Patient-Centred Care (Planetree), and founder of Strong Australia. She will explore how she transformed the loss of her mother into a meaningful push for inclusion, advocacy, and systemic change.
Joining her is Simon Kerrigan, Physiotherapist and Founder & Managing Director of Guide Healthcare and Guide Collective. In his talk, "Keep Moving: Living with Purpose, Staying Capable and Maintaining Independence," Simon will draw on over 13 years of leadership in aged care and movement health to challenge traditional perceptions of ageing, sharing actionable ways we can preserve daily capability, expand healthspan, and support purposeful living.
Together, their stories promise a deeply moving and inspiring evening on how we navigate loss, find agency, and advocate for human-centered care. Whether you are living with dementia, a family member, carer, clinician, researcher, student, or simply passionate about shifting the narrative toward more dignified, human-centric support—you are very welcome.
As always, the event, food, and drinks are covered thanks to our wonderful sponsors.
We still have a few spots remaining! Bring a friend, share with your network, and join us for an evening of great food, drinks, and crucial conversation.
